Revamping CES 2024

In today's digital landscape, there's always room for improvement. CES2024, an outstanding trade show platform, is set to gain from added features and interactive elements. These upgrades are geared to increase engagement for remote viewers and elevate the user experience.

CES2024 is already a strong trade show platform, but there's potential to improve user engagement and navigation. The current setup could be better tailored for remote attendees, people with accessibility needs, and those looking for more interactive connections with other viewers.

Challenges

To make CES 2024 fully engaging, we're using live streaming and interactive software. We're also improving accessibility for remote attendees and adding LinkedIn profile integration for seamless networking.

Challenges from CES 2023 / Remote Viewing

• No Comprehensive Program Guide or meaningful channel guide

• Not a clear understanding of what the video is about, and where it is taking place.

• Poor UX/UI / Hard to read, and description could be clearer as to what is up next.

• Accessibility issues. No CC/ASL Option

• No Ability to watch remotely with other attendees. Very lonely and isolating experience.

• No Clear understanding of how many people are watching at the same time.

Solutions for CES2024

Our updated Program Guide for CES 2024 is designed for easy content discovery, cutting down on tedious navigation and searches. It'll offer personalized recommendations, generated through machine learning, to boost user engagement and satisfaction.

The guide focuses on user-friendliness, featuring clear categories, filters, and search functions. It's not just a static element; users can bookmark sessions, set reminders for streams, and share content with others to make the event more interactive.

We're also committed to accessibility. The guide will include features like text-to-speech and easy-to-read fonts and contrast options, ensuring everyone can navigate the CES 2024 experience effortlessly.

1. Comprehensive Program Guide

Watch parties will let remote attendees enjoy the event together, creating a community vibe.

Any video can be turned into a watch party.

Users can join or make public or private groups focused on specific interests, industries, sessions, or speakers. These digital "rooms" let attendees watch an event—live or recorded—together. These rooms or topics will be listed in the Program Guide.

2. Live and Archived Video Watch Parties

In these watch parties, attendees can chat in real time, sharing thoughts or asking questions through a dedicated chat feature. Besides texting, there's also an option to use microphones for real-time group conversations, mimicking the social interaction you'd find at a live event.

Users can also adjust the event video volume to balance it with group conversations.

Watch Parties are more than just a group viewing experience. They provide an avenue for lively discussions, create a sense of shared experience, and allow attendees to benefit from diverse perspectives, enhancing the overall event experience.

We're committed to making watch parties fully accessible. Features like text-to-speech, closed captions, and ASL interpretation will be available.

Proposed Solutions: Enhanced Attendee Profile

To provide a personalized and enriched experience for our attendees, we propose an integrated profile section in the mobile app. This section brings together several essential features to create a seamless, user-friendly experience.

LinkedIn Integration & Digital Business Card

Through LinkedIn integration, attendees can create a Digital Business Card, summarizing their professional information in a shareable format. They can opt-in to share this Digital Business Card with other attendees and use it within the interactive map for networking.

Each Digital Business Card can include the attendee's intro, links to their social media profiles, and options to send a message, request a video chat, or send a video or voice memo. It can also feature an 'Add to Favorites' button for quick access.

Identifying Pain Points: Interactive Exhibitor Map

Clunky 3-D -ish view of the event

When booth is tapped, info for the
exhibitor appears at bottom of screen.
Is easy to miss. Doesn’t stand out.
To access more info on the exhibitor,
have to navigate to another screen.

Proposed Solutions: Interactive Exhibitor Map

We propose an interactive map to seamlessly integrate with the video and networking components of CES2024. The map aims to enhance the attendee and exhibitor experience by offering intuitive navigation, enriched interactions, and unique visibility opportunities.

Integration with Daily.co:
To make the map truly interactive, we propose integrating it with Daily.co. This integration allows us to offer live, real-time avatar interactions. Attendees, represented by their avatars, can 'walk around' the event, stop by booths, join discussions, and interact just as they would in a physical event. This creates a sense of immersion and connection, regardless of whether they're attending in person or remotely.

Opting for a 2D view of the map offers a cleaner, simplified visual interface that's easy to understand and navigate for all attendees. This choice gives us and the event coordinators more design control, ensuring that the map is not just functional but aesthetically pleasing.
The 2D map is much more than a navigational tool. By embedding interactive features, attendees can directly engage with the event space. Exhibitor booths, event locations, and amenities - all become elements attendees can interact with.

Our interactive map comes with two modes: Exhibitor Mode and Attendee Mode. Each mode is tailored to cater to the specific needs and objectives of exhibitors and attendees.

Conclusion

As we conclude our proposal, we wish to emphasize our commitment to enhancing the CES2024 experience through innovative design, advanced technology, and a user-centric approach.

Daily.co Integration: By integrating with Daily.co's platform, we provide a platform that is immersive and interactive, offering a variety of tools for networking and engagement. This includes breakout rooms, watch parties, and an interactive map, all of which will captivate remote viewers and enhance user retention.

Upsell Opportunities: Our design also incorporates opportunities for monetization through upsells to vendors and attendees. This can come in the form of enhanced visibility on the interactive map, premium networking features, or a more personalized user experience. These additions offer value to both vendors and attendees, helping to generate additional revenue while improving the overall event experience.

Solid Package for CES2024: What we present to you today is a comprehensive and robust package for CES2024. We aim to ensure that exhibitors gain more leads, achieve greater exposure, and walk away with a sense of satisfaction. Concurrently, we want attendees to have a sense of control over their experience, be able to easily navigate the vast CES2024 landscape, and find their participation beneficial to their professional growth.

Lasting Impact: Ultimately, the changes we propose will not just enhance CES2024 but also have ripple effects that extend beyond the event. Our vision is to foster meaningful business relationships, strengthen professional networks, and build communities that are geared toward creating a better world.
